Korean Side Dishes “Ban Chan”

“Koreans cannot live without ‘Kimchi’.” 

This statement deserves more recognition because it holds truth.  Traditionally and till now, Korean meals are not complete with “Ban Chans” (side dishes).  With all meals, an array of side dishes are prepared and served together with the main entrée, they usually consist of various vegetables and plants.  As seasons change, naturally the variety of the dishes changes except for “Kimchi” (also known as Korea’s signature side dish).  There are a variety of “Kimchi” but the most common is the spicy fermented cabbage version.  At Soo Won, we take pride in our variety of side dishes and its quality.  Come and try out “Kimchi” and many other side dishes!
